The new Madden 22 Bo Knows Legends cards are part of the Bo Knows promotion which launched earlier this month. The Bo Knows promotion honors the multi-sport star Bo Jackson, with a new cover that is digital for the game, along with numerous contents. For Ultimate Team, that's included various upgraded cards for Bo, who as many players know, plays football.

The first group made up of Bo Knows Legends players arrived this week. It included Dan Dierdorff, Iverson Walls, Charle Young, and Bruce Smith. Each received a Power Up item, 85 OVR, together with the 94 OVR cards as part of the game. The same thing should happen for other players.

These brand new Legends items are scheduled to release on Ultimate Team on Monday, 29th November, as part the promotion. The other recent promotions launched in Madden have included a Thanksgiving-themed promotion that includes Blitz along with Team of the Week which is a weekly event.

With our model, and the most recent data set available via the Madden website, we identified some players on which Madden and a purely model-based approach differ which is intriguing.

Injecting human judgment into a system of grading isn't always a bad thing. Daniel Sorensen is a good illustration. He's having a horrible season for The Kansas City Chiefs, and it's been a contributing factor to their defense's loss of 69.5 points over expected this year. The team is 31st overall in the league. Sorensen's performances have earned him a coverage grade at 42.2 per cent according to Pro Football Focus and an overall score of 35.5. However, despite his struggles Sorensen still appears extremely fast! Based upon his on-field speed that is measured by player tracking data, we'd expect an essentially model-based speed score for Sorensen of about 89, nearly 7 points more than Madden's Week 9 score of 82. Maybe the people at EA aren't keen to give a player not performing as well as buy Mut 22 coins Sorensen with a high score in a critical area such as speed ratings, given that it's a massive influence on gameplay. If that's the case then it's difficult to fault them.
