A Chic and Modern Industrial Mill Wedding

Hollie and Adam were wed on 31st August 2018 in the exclusive Grade I listed industrial-style wedding venue in Darley Abbey, Derbyshire.

"When I found finding my dress I found everything quite stressful! After fitting a few of the vintage wedding dresses, I knew they just weren't suitable for me. I didn't feel myself inside them and knew I wanted something a little more relaxed and different."

"After endless searching for Instagram, I finally discovered. Her dresses were precisely what I was searching for and I fell deeply in love with a sheer silk a-line dress with embroidered trailing vines that included a silk slip underneath."

"Adam and I are from the same town but usually met for the first time whilst both on vacation in Ibiza. After a few years to be in the same friendship circles, we chose to give things a try and as they are saying, the remainder is history."

"Four years afterward a holiday to Spain, Adam got recorded on one knee and inquired about marrying him. We were built with a two-year engagement whilst planning our perfect day."

"We didn't possess a particular theme in your mind for your day. I guess we simply picked things we loved so the day felt like 'us'. We had plenty of greenery, candles, gin bottles, and nods towards our French bulldog Mabel, including her around the gin bar."

"Adam looked so handsome in the dark navy suit, combined with a knitted grey bow tie. He added a silver watch which would be a present from me to him around the wedding morning. He also treated himself to some pair of deep blue patent Paul Smith shoes."

"They finished off his look perfectly, along with a set of polka dots, that has been also gifted to all from the groomsmen to put on. They all looked so stylish and smart."

"My dad walked me on the aisle to Grow Old With Me by Tom Odell, played by Georgia around the piano. It would be a very special moment between my father and me that I'll always remember. Other songs played through the ceremony were Just Like Heaven by The Cure and You’ve Got The Love by Florence And The Machine."

The wedding couple entrusted a Midlands-based wedding photographer to capture your day on camera and such a gorgeous job she did!

"Rosie only agreed to be a dream to utilize! She is incredible throughout the whole process and around the day. She can also be just the sweetest individual who completely puts our nerves relaxed. She and her partner Kye produce probably the most breathtaking work and I love the way they captured those special and tender moments without us even knowing."

"My bridesmaid's concrete-colored dresses were fantastic. The girls all have such different styles and personalities that I didn't wish to put all of them in the same dress that will potentially make sure they feel unlike themselves."

Following the ceremony, guests were welcomed into the venue's courtyard with canapés along with a drinks reception, before heading indoors for that wedding breakfast catered by.

"We chose to Hold My Girl by Georg Ezra as our first dance song. We were in 2 minds if you should do the first dance but I'm so glad we did."

"We wanted something that will turn from slow to upbeat so our guests could participate in with us. It was then Friday I'm In Love by The Cure which got everyone up around the dance floor and hang the tone for that rest from the night."

"My favorite part during the day was walking on the aisle to Adam and seeing the folks I love nearly all in one room. I also loved reading our vows to look at others – it had been such an amazing feeling. The whole day was full of love, laughter, and fun."

"It was just once we had dreamed and that we will forever be thankful that people have this kind of an amazing couple of people within our lives. There is nothing like the overwhelming happiness you are feeling when all of your nearest and dearest are in a single place celebrating the commitment you’ve just made to one another."

Words Of Wedded Wisdom

"Always remember it's vital that you make sure your decisions reflect both of you as a couple. People will naturally have opinions different from yours, but do not get lost in making every person happy."
